Sue Angold in the Sunday Express

When carer Sue Angold contacted us after losing her tribunal we immediately wanted to help. Sue had worked as a warden for Sutton Housing Partnership for 23 years when she was sacked for helping an old lady in distress. Her bosses said she should have waited for more carers to arrive before helping the sobbing pensioner who was pleading to be moved onto the toilet. But Sue Angold's kindness cost her dearly and she was dismissed for breaching health and safety rules. Devastated Sue not only lost her job, but her home too despite the elderly lady's family describing her as an 'angel.' Sue was sure common sense would prevail but the decision was upheld at tribunal and she was told to leave the flat that came with her job. Sue was at her lowest ebb when she came to us via our tell your story website and asked what we could do to help. We arranged for Sue to tell her story in Take A Break magazine, prompting hundreds of readers to sign an e petition supporting her. Soon more than 1000 members of the public had signed and the Sunday Express were keen to highlight Sue's plight. In just one day more than 1000 names were added to the petition and now we are arranging for Sue to tell her story in other media. Sue has contacted us to thank us for our hard work and we are delighted to have been able to help. Visit and sign sues petition to help: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/justice4sueangold/blog
